About Advertising |
The Wilton Playshop has been a cultural icon in this community for almost 70 years bringing great theatre to Fairfield County at affordable prices. You don't need to go to Broadway for a wonderful theatrical experience. This year promises to be a delightful season filled with great music, thought provoking drama and heartwarming comedy. We welcome your participation as an advertiser this season as we build to our 70th Anniversary season next year which will be filled with special performances and Gala events. In fact, if you sign up now for next year too, you will receive a 10% discount on next year's advertising. This Season offers 3 main stage productions: Putting It Together - a musical review by the master of modern musical comedy, Stephen Sondheim. This critically acclaimed compilation of musical numbers from many of Sondheim's shows is strung together into a funny, enchanting evening of music that will be presented in a cabaret style atmosphere. Dinner With Friends – a 2000 Pulitzer prize winning play by Donald Margulies. This drama takes us into the lives of two upper middle class couples in Connecticut as they find out about themselves, their marriages and their friendships. Hailed as "Brilliant" by the New York Daily News. Over the River and Through the Woods – a comedy by Joe DiPietro. This comedy centers around a young Italian-American man from New Jersey who spends every Sunday evening having dinner with both sets of Grandparents until he breaks the news that he is moving to Seattle to take a new job… a hilarious family comedy.
